Mark Gifford

Mark Gifford is the Director of Music and Organist for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield, Illinois and has had that position since August 2016. He has the joy of playing the 4 manual, 59 rank Reuter Pipe Organ that was installed in May of 2016. He served on the committee that selected the organ and helped oversee its installation and voicing. Along with his duties there, he is also the creator and producer of First Friday Concerts– free concerts, once a month, on the first Friday of the month – nine months of the year in the Cathedral, and he is house organist on the 3/12 Barton Theatre Pipe Organ in Springfield High School. Mark is also a volunteer organist at the Fox Theatre (lobby organ). While his work keeps him from playing weekends here at the Lincoln Theatre, he’s always happy to be invited to play for Party on the Pipes!
